Calling all volunteers and adopters!!

Join us for a day of celebration and fun at Fox River Marina & Preserve in Port Barrington for a dog-friendly ice cream social celebrating our volunteers that allow us to rescue senior pets and our adopters who love them!

This is a dog and family-friendly event! Cat adopters and adopters of dogs who don’t exactly enjoy the company of other canines, we want you there, too! A full sundae bar will be provided by Capannari’s of Mt. Prospect, as well as doggy scoops of yogurt for all our canine friends!

Bring a small bag of dog or cat food for Nina’s Pet Food Pantry, and you’ll get an extra raffle ticket for every bag you donate!

How do you attend? RSVP with the info below!

If you have been an active volunteer in the past 12 months, or have ever adopted from Young at Heart, simply email volunteer@yahpetrescue.com with the following info:

1. Volunteer or adopter name
2. Number of people in your party
3. Number of dogs in your party (must be vaccinated and social, and on a leash!)

We’ll be in the large pavilion at Fox River Preserve & Marina, rain or shine!

We are the ONLY animal organization in Illinois that has a chance to win!

We’re proud to announce we’ve been selected as a finalist in Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good Program. Now we need your support!

 Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program will be awarding 100 vehicles to 100 nonprofits over the course of 100 days based on votes from the public. A total of 500 nonprofits were selected from more than 4,000 applications nationwide.   We are hoping to win a new Toyota Sienna minivan to help transport more senior pets to safety, get them to the vet, foster homes, and events, and to expand the capabilities of our pet food pantry program!
