Sophia, a Belgian Shepherd, is approximately 12 yrs old and is looking for her forever home to live out her golden years. Her eyesight isn’t perfect, but she still gets around well. She LOVES leashed walks and long naps on fluffy beds. Please consider sharing your life with sweet Sophia.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found at PerfectPooches.org under the “Adoption Process” tab. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested (as appropriate), fecal tested, and microchipped. Her adoption fee of $75 goes towards covering the cost of her vetting.
Biscuit is a purebred flame-point Himalayan kitty who needs a new home since her mom had to go into assisted living. Biscuit does need twice a day injections for her manageable diabetes. She is (amazingly!) 18 years old, and the calmest, sweetest, quietest, most low maintenance (aside from the shots) girl you’d ever want to meet. (She wears a bell so you’ll know where she is since she NEVER meows.) She’d be perfect for a senior (as long as they can manage her shots) or family or anyone looking for a darling little fur ball that really just wants to sleep, eat, and be loved.
Biscuit is living in the city of Chicago. For more information on Biscuit, please contact Bethany at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are looking for a new home for our loveable, 6 year old, dachshund mix. She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations and crate trained for bed time. Ideally, she would be better off with someone who is retired who can giver lots of TLC. She prefers her days sleeping under a blanket and cuddling on your lap. She loves her stuff animals and playing catch. We have three kids that adore her and she is very protective over them. But unfortunately, she doesn’t do well with their friends and other pets.
For more information, contact the Sariks at 630-546-7068 or by email at email@example.com.
These are pictures of Nibbles below. Nibbles is 9 years old. She is a very gentle and sometimes timid dog who is good around children and other pets (dog & cat). She would be better with someone who is home a lot. She still has a lot if energy and likes to go in walks. I hope that she can have a second chance with someone. She has been spayed and is up to date on her rabies shot (3 years).
For more info on Nibbles, call Peg at Peg 630-886-2003 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Felicity’s human mom had to go to a nursing facility because of early onset Alzheimers. Felicity (also nicknamed Sissy) is a 12 year old purebred yorkie.
She is spayed, housebroken (but does have occasional accidents), and has been receiving heartworm preventative and is up to date on rabies. She was just groomed. She loves to sit on laps and receive treats. She prefers a calm, loving home. She is a little hard of seeing and a little hard of hearing, but still a lover and a follower! You may pre-apply online at: McPawsCare.org.
Hello, My name is Sara. I need to find a new home for my 11 year old cat, Bailey. I will be moving to take care of my sick father, and the facility does not allow animals. Bailey is very loving and playful, but does not like to be picked up. She is very vocal when she is hungry or seeking attention, and will show you exactly what she wants. She loves treats and has been known to bring you the bag when she thinks she deserves one. She will also gently grab your hand
and show you exactly where she wants to be pet. Bailey loves company, whether it be human, cat or rabbit. I have never introduced her to a dog, but I’m sure she can warm up to one. She is neutered and has had all vaccines. I’ve had Bailey since she was 4 months old, she was my 16th birthday present…it breaks my heart to have to part with her, and I really wish things were different. I hope someone can open up their heart to this beautiful, loving cat.
I can be reached by email or phone: email@example.com or 773-301-8074.
Patches mother will be moving to a nursing home in the next few months and Patches won’t be able to come with, so she will need a new home. She is a 10 year old female torti cat with all of her claws. She has no medical issues, is up to date on her vaccinations and her FIV status is negative. She is a shy, sweet cat that likes company, particularly women. She likes the company of older children but tends to hide from younger ones. She has never been around dogs but previously lived with an older, bigger cat that bullied her. She has very pretty markings as seen in her picture and is very affectionate.
Inquiries about Patches can be made via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 630-236-6257.
Toby is a purebred Cocker Spaniel who needs a new, loving home where he can cuddle and be around with people often. He eats once a day and goes outside 2-3 times a day. He won’t have accidents as long as he is taken outside. Even though he is an older guy, he is very joyful and sweet with everyone. He is also very trainable and obedient. He is not neutered and is up to date with all vaccines. He has never bitten or been aggressive.
For more information on Toby, please call Alom in Huntley, IL, 312-731-4472.

Her owner has medical issues and can no longer care for her. Please e-mail to email@example.com or call 815-404-0886. If no answer please leave a message. Thank you.
Hey there! My name is Adam and I am a 10 year old male Pomeranian that is very sweet. I am looking for a senior couple or person that is looking for a fur baby to spoil. I have been used as a breeder dog all my life so now I’m looking for a family that will spoil me for the years that I have left. I have so much love to give even though I’m a senior pet. We often get overlooked because of our age. I am current on my vaccinations, I am neutered and also micro-chipped. Please consider me as your new friend. Love Adam
To meet Adam, please contact Homeward Bound Pet Shelter. Homeward Bound is located at 1720 East Huston Drive, Decatur. Phone number is 217-876-1266. Here is Adam’s Petfinder Page.
My wife and I are very interested in finding a new and loving home for Blu Dog. Blu has been a member of our family for 12 years. In the past year he has grown deaf and we have subsequently had 3 “snipping” episodes with our 3 year old. One which left a mark. We have effectively kept the two away from each other since, but we now have a 3 month old who will be crawling soon. And, well, this has us very concerned.
Blu is an awesome dog. He gets along great with other dogs as he is very submissive as well as cats. He goes on at least one 3mile run a week and goes to doggy day care for a full day at least once a week. He last went to the vet last week and was given a clean bill of health.
You should expect many more years of good health with a playful dog like Blu. His favorite activities include snuggling on his bed, going for walks and runs when available, playing catch with a tennis ball, swimming, and just about anything else you would want to do.
Blu is very responsive to hand gestures. He will sit, stay, come, laydown with a simple hand movement (as long as he sees you.)
I have attached a few recent pictures of him for you to look at. We are hoping to find a loving home for him within the next 2 or 3 months. Here is a YouTube video as well: http://youtu.be/lclrfK-z5Rg.
Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 630-803-8243.
Louie and Bruno
Louie and Bruno are two bonded 13-year-old brothers who need a new home. Both are fixed and up-to-date on their vaccinations, happy, healthy and active. Louie, the white one, if more affectionate, and Bruno is more shy but warms up with people he knows. A home without children, or with older children would be best.
Louie and Bruno are located on Chicago’s North Side, near Western and Irving Park. If you would like to meet Louie and Bruno, please call Diane at 630-802-0965.
Catness’ beloved mom passed away, and she is now in need of a new home. She is affectionate, charming, healthy and still plays like a kitten. Her only really bad habit is a tendency to eat string — shoes with laces have to be stored in a closed closet! But the size of this sweet little cat’s purr makes up for the inconvenience. The place where Catness is currently staying is safe but it has to be temporary. If you’re looking for a wonderful only cat, or if you think your mellow boy cat would be okay with company, Catness might be perfect for you.
Catness lives in Chicago. For more information, please contact email@example.com or 206-650-2203.
Bailey is a 9 1/2 yr old Cockapoo in excellent health. Her birthday is Jan 16th. Her only health issue is that she can be prone to ear infections, which can be controlled with weekly applications of an ear drying agent, which is sold at Pet Smart. Bailey is loyal and loveable. She loves small pieces of apples, bananas, peanut butter, and popcorn, in addition to her dog food, which is Canidae, which Petco sells, with Milk Bones as treats.
Bailey’s parents are a senior couple who can no longer care for her. She is currently living in St. Charles, IL. If you would like more information on Bailey, please contact Becky at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Princess is a beautiful 7-8 year-old American Staffordshire Terrier who was a victim of a horrible case of neglect. Her previous owner didn’t take care of her and she was very underweight. She is now in the care of DuPage Animal Hospital in Villa Park. She is a sweet girl and has not shown any aggression towards people but would need to be placed in an only pet household.
If you can help, please contact DuPage Animal Hospital, 377 E North Ave., Villa Park, IL 60181, 630-834-8242.
Can someone out there open their hearts to a special needs kitty named Bobbie?
Bobbie is a 5 – 6 year old neutered male who loves to talk and follow you around. He is familiar with other cats. He has not been introduced to dogs, however with the proper introduction he would be fine. He is a muscular medium/large cat with a super soft coat. He is extremely gentle in nature and loves human companionship. He will jump up to be next to you the minute you sit down!
Here’s Bobbie’s story:
I was hit by a car (in Indiana). Right after I was hit by the car I was so startled I took off running and in my haste in choosing an escape route a board fell on me! My back was broken as a result of the two events. As a result of my previous injury (my broken back) I needed to regain my strength in my rear legs so that I could once again walk. I do walk and if I do say so myself my swagger is down right adorable! Sometimes my bottom tips over dragging on the ground for a short time before I get myself righted again and proceed walking on my merry way. I have been outfitted with a diaper and harnessing system. I only need to be changed twice a day. Each time I am changed my diaper is clean so my bladder needs to be expressed. Not to worry, this is a simple and easy process to learn. My foster Mom will show you how and supply you with the a few starter supplies.
Bobbie is in foster care (in a private home) with Finding Forever Homes in Streamwood, IL. Please contact them with any questions you may have or to make an appointment to see Bobbie or any of there other cats, all of which are in foster care in private homes. Contact Linda by email at email@example.com or phone at 630-837-3915.
